12 days to go....

Yeah 12 days and that beloved holiday is getting closer all the time. I am almost done....and will finish up when I hit the big city in a week. Been making gifts, calendars, stocking stuffers, and last minute ideas....using alot of my scrap booking materials I have here. And have you been gathering Sweet Digi Scraps freebies? I have, and let me tell you, she has made my gift giving so much easier....cuz I was in a pickle about what to make my MIL using some of the photo's I took from this last fall of a n area where she grew up and lived and well, Sweet Digi Scraps helped me out alot. She made up 2013 calendars as part of a gift and I simply added it to a regular size piece of paper and added my photo and added a coordinating color of scrap paper on the back ad printed all 12 months out. And because I never thought about it until After I printed it all out, I add the birthdays of all her family members an colored the dates with a highlight marker blue and then added all the observed holidays and highlighted it all in yellow. Punched two holes at the top and added clip rings and a smaller hole square int eh middle for hanging. I even made a cover sheet and it turned out beautiful. I know she will love seeing all the photos of the beautiful area.

Then I been making legal pad covers, and adding fancy details on some paper for the look of stationary and added envelopes with return address already printed. I also made a few paper boxes the size of stick matches, and going to fill them full of goodies, all for stocking stuffers. Created some bookmarks, and considering a book cover to protect my MIL's old dictionary she uses for her crossword puzzles. It is starting to fall completely apart. It's the only way I know how to fix it for now.

So how is your Christmas coming along? Are you making anything for gifts? I wanted to crochet and make a few throw pillows but never found the right looking material for the project and run out of time now. So I am curious....what projects are you doing to finish up with Christmas?
