Well, January is almost gone.....how has the new year went for you so far? It has been a whirl wind of surprises for me so far. Weather, water issues, wood stove, and some computer whoa's. I need to take care of that pretty soon over many cups of coffee and no interruptions...which will take me several days. So on to the good stuff.......

No silly I am talking kits....

Wow! It has been a fast and furious week for me around here. Last couple days has been a whirl wind of on going activities....with winter weather hitting us hard and water problems, I finally get a couple minutes to post an update since the power has not been blinking off and on last hour. I am not complaining mind you, I love the snow. Just wished it didn't come all at once....and is it ever late getting here. Mother Nature is definately making up for the lost time......snow-bunnies are very happy.

Ok Courtney'sDigiScrappin has an adorable kit out called Kiss Me. You truly should consider this kit as it is simply adorable.

It is full of quirky doodles and awesome word art that just makes this kit quite unique. See a page I made using it?

I love how it turned out.....and I am into Art Journaling right now like no bodies business so it is perfect for all of that. Art Journaling

Ok have you ever found yourself in a loss for inspiration when creating? Me too..and recently found a new inspiration by sheer accident. I was browsing my Craft store when I stumbled acrossed a couple books called Smash. (have you seen or heard of them yet? they are awesome) I walked past them and found myself walking back, picking it up and leafing thru it.... and admiring all the little accessories it offered to go with it. The light bulb went on as I seen the price of it all and quick calculations in my head told me....with all the stuff you have at home, having collected for years scrimping and saving, you gotta doing this yourself without spending money on stuff you can make yourself or already have.

So I came home, grabbed my old Vintage style scrap-books, 14x12 brown papers and all, and pulled all the old ones apart, along with the scattered photo's, articles, cards, memento's and souveiners I had kept through out the years and started my own version of a Smashbook. And I am having so much fun with it all. Soooo, when Courtney'sDigiScrappin introduced this kit called Hide and Seek.......

I was like a little kid all over again for this is pretty much what I have been already doing to my own pages and then adding my photo's to them when all the glitter, stamping ink, ModPodge, felt pens, crayons, water color paints have all dried. I have never been so inspired to get a project done...as I have now. I found reverting back to doing scrapbooks and adding artistic edges have truly been my happiest times while making pages. My love for making my own cards, was the best, finding digital scrapbooking was absolutely devine, but this type of creating for me is heavenly. And I know that wen I am done, flipping back thru the Memory book will be so much more added pleasure, for years t come, whether it is me or my family, seeing my artistic doodling will only add to the smiles......even if they think it is silly or not, it will only add creativity to all my pages.

And to show you the kit better, here are a couple pages I have created using this kit. Artistic Journaling does not need to show photo's on your pages....it should be about you, your moods for the moment, your take on the day, a mere expression of yourself..... like this is above. Document things you love and tell people all about you without all the distractions. Do all the things you feel and love.....

And here is another one, using my daughters black and white photo she gave me I did a few minor changes to the photo to add some artistic flare and add it to this page to show this kit with a photo....

So as you see, with or without a photo, it is quite awesome. If you have not tried doing this type of creativity, you really should. I didn't have a clue what I was going to start when I first pulled out my colored pencils either, but once I started, it turned on a whole new creativity switch...i love and have not stopped. You should see my room, with all the materials strung all over and within reach to use for each page. I have a feeling I will be sad when the book ends, and then I might have to resort to purchasing a Smashbook just to say I have had one....but with all I have here, it will be a long while.

Many Splendored Thing

Wow! is it ever cold in my part of the world. It is suppose to get down to single digits tonight. I think the fire will be burning all night tonight for the last thing a person needs in this weather is freezing pipes. Especially with no snow on the ground for insulation. Cold weather usually does not bother me, until there is no insulation to protect everything. But the moon is out, and it is so pretty outside, crystal clear and as if it is daylight. I think I almost know how the people in Alaska feel when it is daylight 24/7. Some one told me it can get down to minus 40 degrees there tho. I don't want it that cold here right now. I also know they are getting most all of the snow there right now......and I was wondering where all ours was. Guess I know now.

My Hybrid Journaling Project

I told you sometime ago, I told you I was gonna share my hybrid project I was currently involved with. And here it is.....I am still finding ribbons to add to the spiral, but here is the cover. I labeled it "Finding Me" for several reasons. First, we women have always had this mechanism in our brains to do for others.....regardless what our own needs are. And we do and do and do. Some say I scrap for myself, but I really don't, although it the one thing I enjoy and doing it for my family to pass on a legacy. It is not however, relaxing or fun when you lose your Mojo, inspiration..

For Christmas I bought a whole bunch of stamps, ink pads, scrap-book bundles, ribbons, glue dots, colored pencils and a book for memory photo's or scrap-booking for my only Grand-daughter who had expressed her love for wanting to do what Nana does. I purchased two of these books, gave one to her and kept one for myself. I was inspired by several hybrid sights and some designers I shadow often, and thought why not?

My hopes was to do this for several reasons. One, to get my creative bones back. Two, document some of the things in my life, old fashioned way, to reflect back at what I did on down the road. Should be fun to see all the changes. Three? I wanted to do a book for me, whether it to be journaling, photo's from my camera shooting things that catch my eye, and to do some hybrid creations......for in this book I can make tags, decorate them, envelopes to store my favorite things to myself, memory keepsakes, etc.

This will be my creation, my designs, put together what I like and what I think might look good. More important, is I will be documenting possibly twice a month about anything when the house is quiet at night, so I can put it on the shelf to dry and go to bed with an empty mind. I seriously can't wait to see all the changes down the road in 6 months, to flip pages in my book (I have 60 pages to fill) to view.

Here is the cover of my book. Using materials I have here stored in my craft room, bought a little each time but boy do I have a lot of it. Everyone told me I should get rid of it since I have discovered Digital Scrap-booking, but I have it on hand for it is the simple joys I have received watching my sisters, friends and grand-daughters face light up when I open my drawers and pull out all my craft supplies. I have helped create photo books for a special wedding, frame beautiful family photo's of some very special people in my life who needed help and I create cards, lotsa lotsa cards using my craft supplies. And then there is my digital scrapping, which also brings me more joy then I can say creating beautiful pages with my computer.

Here is the inside of the cover....an envelope for all my keepsakes and a digital page I made using a kit I just received, telling my reason for the book and a recent photo of me added. From there, I shall have the choice to pull out my supplies and or do another digital page. Or simply journal and post a photo... the choices are endless. Point is, when it is done it should be fun to reflect, an have something about me for when my kids, grandkids or just anyone who wants to know more about me and all the things I love to do.

Here is a card I made from all my scraps.....some of these papers are printed out and cut to fit on card stock. The butterfly is also printed out and cut, and I added some glitter glue around the wings to match the poppies I used for the card. I cut some gold jewelry wires and added them for the lil antenna's. I think the person who gets this card will enjoy it. Especially when they open it to read ....."is what we make of it".

Simple Pleasures

While making lunch today it occurred to me I didn't see my last post, so after everything was finished I came in to investigate...there it was. It was my error on when I wanted it to be automatically released. And I never think to check it the next day to make sure anymore, because most of the time it usually works, and I usually make less mistakes. Anyways.......

Anyhow, here is a new kit Flutter Expressions has made and put in her store at The Digi Chick. It is called Simple Pleasures. Get a good look at those amazing colors will you? So gorgeous together.

After my kids left, I downloaded this awesome kit and created a page to highlight it using some of my digital photo's taken while my kids were here. In photography, there are moments you wish to capture and after you get them on to your computer and find that favorite moment a bit blurry or out of focus, be sure that you do not toss it but simply reduce the photo in size and place it in your layout and reduce your opacity for blended look on your paper. The photo is saved as well as the moment you want to remember. Sometimes, in smaller form or cropped and reduced, they usually come out clear enough for your layout.

Now do not forget to visit Flutter Expressions Blog as she has this fabulous template offered to get your mojo in gear for a challenge. I hope you play along with the rest of us....

Last but not least, I want to share a link with you that I thought was totally cool. It is on the Simple Scrapper site and thought it was a wonderful idea. I bought myself a 60 page 6x8 plain memory book or photo-book while shopping in Craft Warehouse for Christmas gifts. I have decided I am going to scrap my life thru out the whole year, to see the changes made and also the accomplishments. 60 pages should allow me at least two pages a month, whether using photographs or simply journaling. The whole point is to document our lives. I might actually share it as a gift to my daughter, parents, grandson, who all live far away, and or you get the idea. I can't wait to get started. And lucky you might actually see the pages in progress each month, depending on how I decide to do it. Besides, it would be so fun to look back through it after a year and see all that happened or the changes made, don'tcha think?

Can you believe it is here already? I can't and I am hoping that your holidays went well. Mine was the best as my daughter and her family sent the holidays here with us. I just wished the weather had co-operated a bit better then it did. It rained so much and then on New Years Eve, it finally snowed a couple inches. It was time to pull on the gear and go outside for old fashioned fun.....

At times, I find that a new techniques provide alot of insight of what works and what doesn't and also sometimes find that the idea given is so much easier then I originally was doing it, using less steps overall. ok it is extremely late. I have been trying desperately to get caught up after the holidays. I have finally managed to get my Christmas tree down, decorations removed and all organized and placed into a few boxes instead of the 5 or 6 they were all in. That in itself was an awesome feeling. Then I had some house cleaning to do after my kids all left....stuff needing to be done that gets over looked as visiting with them is far more important then fussing over the house 24/7. Not to mention it took several vacuuming times to get all those needles up and out. Then having my favorite designers finding free time to get some new kits into their stores...so I was busy creating pages to show you what's new before turning in tonight. Then I turned on my chat machine and could not resist visiting for a few minutes.....well you know how that goes, as a few minutes turns into......hours. Much like when I start creating....time gone!

Have you made any resolutions for this year? I have a few....get caught up with my scrapping pages and add them to my albums that have fallen far behind. Then I bought a new EHD a while back and I have got to sit down one of these days and do some backup, organize my photo's and get them backed up before something happens to my system, along with all my scrap-booking supplies. VERY time consuming. But the weather will be getting bad soon so it will be a perfect time to do it all and not worry. Then it is working on eating healthier, getting back into the routine of walking again and counting it as time for me....doing it for me...no excuses and no interruptions. End of story. Our own health is the biggest concern and we should take it more seriously. I know I have been wrapped up in getting my home and life organized since my move and some of the more important things have been placed on the back burner. Not any more,,,,,,,,I think it is time to put myself nearer to the top for a change. So......I am off to bed. I am one tired girl. Thanks for stopping by.

Almost Christmas and...

Can you believe it? Are you ready? I am as of today......finally and I am seriously so excited I can hardly contain my excitement. My baby is bringing her family to celebrate Christmas with us, and I can't wait. It has been over a year since I have seen them for we are miles apart.....and I have so missed them. Don't worry...I will be taking loads of photo's. And the best part is my baby is a photographer herself and you can bet I will be watching her every move and listen to her ever bit of advice she shares in order to make my photo's better. They will be no where near hers, but they shall be improving for sure and hope someday, they soon will be. They are my Christmas present this year......and I can't even type this without tearing up, so off to the good stuff.

Is this page beautiful? It is my youngest niece.....she is a definite piece of sunshine in my families world, especially my sisters and brother-in-law. They are very proud grandparents to this adorable adn beautiful child. No sun shined brighter in their eyes then this lil girl. I created this page using Kelly Jo's Scrap latest kit...

Need a Break or a Lift?

Merry Christmas. It has been so hard for me to remember to say this when greeting people out on the streets lately, only because, it all seem's unreal it is already here, and I guess, because my summer went by so quickly. So, I say it to you all now......and how are you and how are you all holding up? Are you ready for Christmas? I am, almost. We did alot of purchasing online and I created alot of photobooks. One gift I can't wait to have opened we got from an outfit called Fracture. Have you heard of them? I recently took some photographs for my step son that he so wanted taken and so one of the photographs I took turned out awesome. He had mentioned he would someday want a blowup of it and put it up in his man cave. So, I found this site and ordered this photo and it turned out terrific. Fracture is a one piece picture and frame made of printed glass that mounts on the wall or in a portrait, to admire without a frame. It truly is awesome. My only advice is if you have a photo a bit on the darker side, have it brightened or lightened up before sending it in, as it is mounted on a black mat and makes your photograph a bit darker. Something I never thought about before ordering. But will, next time and will continue to order from them soon. I can't wait to see his face when he opens it.

Well, I hope you are getting ready for Christmas....I know I am almost done painting and looking forward to getting out the carpet shampoo-er and doing a house of scrubbing before the holidays. Never a boring day at my house, and everything is looking awesome. I am wanting to get it all done as I have some very special guests arriving this year to spend Christmas with us and as the month ebbs in, and things are getting done, I am getting a bit more excited. I want it done, so I can get my Christmas tree up and my presents bought and wrapped, cupboards stocked and my baking done, in preparation of their arrival so all I have to do is absorb their presence. I have missed them so much and like all families, the miles are to far between us.....and it is has been over a year since I have seen them. They are my Christmas present this year......and I can't wait to spoil them rotten with all kinds of homemade goodies for them to enjoy and cater to their every whim. All I want to do is visit visit visit......and have fun over this very special holiday season.

ok, I am off here.....gotta get some sleep to endure tomorrow, in hopes to finish my painting and hope the weather holds out so I can go get my tree and decorate.

I have never ever really been one of those gals who manage to get up extra early to attend and or plan on these shopping days at all the stores downtown. I found people are so incredibly rude and inconsiderate during these times...wanting to snag all they find for themselves for Christmas savings. I went once with my sister a couple years ago, and I was astonished at how people acted, right down to camping out to be first in line at these stores they so desired to shop in. Pushing shoving kicking grabbing, and I swore I would never go again.....but I have found out that those popular places I love to shop in do infact provide Black Friday Deals online.....Yippppppeeee! so right from my chair I shop.

The seasons are changing, and the holidays are coming up quickly. Snow has arrived in my neck of the woods and although I am not ready for it, this beautiful kit called Rustic Winter by Courtney's Digiscrappin has made me adjust a bit easier, that's for sure.

I have yet another gorgeous kit to show you, this one made by Kelly Jo's Scraps called Summer Afternoon. I have no idea why I like this kit so well, but it could be because it is bright and cheerful.....and I have truly enjoyed having this one in my digital scrap-booking collection. I know for a fact I shall be creating loads of hybrid projects using it, from cards to printing them out for my own paper scrapping. I have alot to share today so we best get started and please bare with me today.

Oh and.when was the last time you wandered thru the Designers store over at AngelBabyScraps? You really must take a second and wander thru each and every designer over there....you might be pleasantly surprised on what you find to gather up. All you have to do is join, free, at no cost to you to admire your viewed treasures. It would be worth your while to wander...honest.

And before I sign off I must share this with you....My only grand-daughter turns 7 in a few days......love her to pieces I do. We spend hours upon hours creating in my craft room when she is here, usually making cards for her family members, because this Nana, loves to craft, and so does she. I have taught her how to assemble and put together all kinds of ideas, using stamps, embossing, and glitter glues and pens. But she mostly loves making cards. I am sharing this with you because, shopping for her is extremely hard. She does not like dolls, or the usual girl things, and she has about everything a 14 years old could ask for at 7 already...yes spoiled is an understatement, but dearly loved and cherished by all her rather large family. Then, the idea came to me to create a card kit especially designed for her.

All of these products I share with you on this blog, I hope inspires you to do your own creating, but even more important for you to know is, I print all of these designers products out over and over and over right off my own printer here at home to create beautiful crafts. And beautiful they do turn out, honestly, each and every time I use them. I have printed out embellishments like flowers, tags, paper strips for her cards since ribbons are out of the question, stamped words like Happy Birthday, Just Because and Just for You all over a white sheet of card stock so she can cut them all out on her own after she colors them for her cards. I have also create papers flowers for her using some of the beautiful backgrounds the designers added to their kits, and not to mention some of those elements which look awesome cut and added to the cards. And this is only a tiny fraction of what I have created for her using these digital kits...and I can use them again when she wants more.....it's turning out awesome! And the box I made to hold it all together, is covered in brown paper bag and I printed out a page I made with her name on it glued to the top, out of an old photo paper box....which is bulging full.....but it all fits..

Money is extremely tight in this household, so saving using what I have already, to cut corners for me is crucial......and she will get a lot of expensive presents, but I can bank she will love the kit I am making for her to craft her own cards as she desires pretty well from her crafty Nana. I just can't wait for her to open it and see all the cards she will be making the family on her own. And she will use this kit alot.... guaranteed. So get creative......the holidays are right around the corner.....make something for someone you love. Get to making those holiday cards.....They will enjoy it, promise.

Two New Kits and a Store

First I must apologize to you, for completely spacing off and forgetting to show you some awesome kits for this time of year you will surely enjoying seeing. I have no idea where my mind has been of late, but it certainly has not been lazy.....with all that has been happening around here at my home with life and with all the beautiful kits Courtney'sDigiScrappin has been creating so quickly, she has had my mind reeling with ideas non-stop. She has also added her beautiful kits to an new store called Digital Design Den. and still has AngelBabyScraps too so do not be alarmed. She is simply expanding her wares to new people. The people who hang out over at DigitalDesignDen are sincerely so warm and nice.....please do check it out when you have a chance. They will treat you the same way, honest!

ok first.....I have this O' Hallowe'en kit perfect for all your friendly spooks you have loitering around, family or friends, which the traditional holiday is at the end of the month. Can you believe it is nearly half over?

I think this is a unique kit itself and completely different then all others out there for your digital creations. you could create your own decorations, print them out and hang in your window yourself, the elements are so cute......and I have a page I created using the kit.

She has it full of perfect materials for your page......so creating your own decorations would be a cinch.That glowing pumpkin is not part of the kit however.......it is mine found off the internet some time ago. But everything however is included in the kit, EXCEPT my photo's.....sorry!

And then she has Autumn Country.....the colors in this kit alone will blow you away. And her details for fall elements are absolutely stunning. you will also be stunned at how beautiful her background papers are. See for yourself all she has included.....

I have used 5 papers here, re-sizing 4 and added her rickrack for the look of joining them together......and the photo is mine taken only a couple days ago......laid below a beautiful frame, that looks as if it is Antiqued perfectly. But more important, look at the flowers, leaves and added other variations she has added to this kit to make your pages pop.....You will not be sorry to add either of these kits to your digital scrap-book materials. Fall Breeze

Here is a page I created....although I have made several, and kick myself for only adding this one....on our last ride out in the woods.....I found this hornet's nest......hanging in a Fir tree with it's needles turning brilliant orange colors.....I thought I was going to get spanked for standing as long as I did under the tree to get this photograph.....although i saw them thru my lens he was loudly reminding me of their size.....too funny!

I have also made something different for you using this beautiful kit Fall Breeze...kinda like an organizing paper to print out off your printer at home. It is 8.5x11 300dpi's and or the same size as a binder sheet of paper. Download HERE. Since October has five weekends, you may have to print several out as needed and add it to your fridge or desk and or binder....put the date of the day in the leaf section and add your notes of chores or scheduled things to do for the week in the note section. I printed mine out and already using it....hoping it will be useful for you as well.

I have another gorgeous kit to show you, called Fallish by Sweet Tomato Designs, which she has created for her guest appearance over at Scrap Matters thru September. I just love the colors she has introduced together and totally love the papers.

I especially love the two different trees, and that little squirrel is a hoot. Reminds me of that little squirrel on the movie IceAge.....of which I loved. I created some pages using this kit and included a snapshot of my own showing off the turning of colors in my own area. I so do not want to see summer go...but love the colors of this time of year. Kind of like the colors of this kit....totally gorgeous when they are put together.

Yes, I used it more then once....because I simply love the colors of this kit. I don't know why, but I loved creating with it....kinda made me happy as the colors are so pleasant. My grandson comes to visit me every summer, and the thing he likes best is setting up his tent and camping out the whole time he is there. We pack small lunches and drinks for him to have while he is out and in his tent Grandma bought for part of his Christmas present a couple years ago. Of course, we also add cookies, and all kinds of other goodies.....I mean what's camping for anyhow, right?

Hello everyone. I finally got a few minutes to make you alittle something using Sweet Tomato Designs latest release called Clean Slate. I got the idea recently from my grand-daughter.

Are you ever in for a treat today....are you ready? I have this huge collaboration kit called Altered Art Emporium, by the very talented Kelly Jo'sScraps, and Courtney'sDigiScrappin. What is Altered Art exactly? Well, in Kelly Jo's words......"At its most basic, it gives a new artistic life to old and/or used items/artworks by combining them in new collage type artworks"

Pretty good explanation don't you think? I had to bundle up all the viewing pages for this kit so I did not run endlessly with all the things I could show you included in this kit, so I hope you do not mind....but just look at all the gorgeous goodies provided . The papers alone in my opinion are awesome...but tags, torn papers.....

And I love ALL the added worded papers etc., and the laces, fasteners and butterflies with birds.........yeah there is more.....I'm not close to being done yet......

August is almost over......

Which makes summertime fun for the kids over and school starts for majority of the nation this very week. I am not ready for it to be over, but having no kids in school anymore, it means only for me, that fall is right around the corner and I am not ready for my summer to end. But when I did have kids at home and in school, I always had mixed feelings about this time of year. Not having them around for long periods of time, and interacting with them, and I missed them when they were gone. But on the other hand, I was happy they were out of my hair for a few hours so I didn't have to hear them arguing between themselves. I so did not like sibling rivalry. Drove me nuts! But we all went thru it.....even with my own brothers as a child. All part of growing up and learning how to get along, for the most part. And with that being said.....

It brings my attention to a new kit, And with school starting, it is a kit for you to think about, called Three R's by Sweet Digi Scraps in her store now in ZigZagScraps. Like No One's Watching

Hello Fellow Scrappers.....

I have a treat for you tonight. But right in the middle of posting this awhile ago, the power went out and I had a mess on my computer after it came back on, which has made me do some serious thinking. I have dealt with alot of different unusual things lately, and it has caused me some serious grief.....like when the electricity goes out without a clue when your right in the middle of something big. My pages were in the middle of being uploaded when that very thing happened tonight....Ug! oh and then I am not sure if you have a storage area for your digital scrapbooking supplies, but all my supplies, happen to be backed up on a EHD (External Hard Drive) which I never leave running when I am not creating my pages. But not only do I have all that backed up, but also my personal digital photographs, so......on my next trip to the big city....this girl is going to shop in BestBuy or another electronic store and check out another EHD and back-up everything off my existing EHD for the just incase this one I use goes belly up. Oh and a APC so when I lose power suddenly, it will power down slowly, so I can properly turn off my computer to save myself some work and a doctor bill, because I about had a heart failure knowing all my posting was gone. I'm telling you this because, I am urging you to do the same.......BACK IT UP!! and do not put it off......I also have it all on disks.....for emergencies. ok now on to some good stuff.....

It's a Photo Shoot

Hello fellow scrappers. Hope this finds you all doing wonderful. I wanted to show you a kit I had the opportunity recently to play with called Photo Shoot by Sweet Digi Scraps. I found myself completely engulfed playing with this beautiful kit. It was bright, colorful, perfect for creating for some awesome looking pages. See mine? The results are amazing.....whether or not you been scrapping for a long time or a beginner, it is bound to give you some awesome results.

This is my page I created using this very kit. I loved the results I got, not to mention the impact it provided. I know I will use this kit over and over again for my digital scrapbooking. My mind is rolling with ideas galore for cards and hybrid creations using it. For now, have a peek at the kit I used.....

It's a Pet Shop

I have a new kit to show you, called Pet Shop, a collab by Sweet Tomato Designs and Sunny Day Scraps. It is a kit that happens to cater to your animals. I know, at one point in your scrapping you thought how nice it would be to actually have a kit designs for the animals you love in your family. Well now it is here......so colorful and cute.

It has just about all you ever needed to show off those adorable animals in your lives, from dishes to bones and even a ball. Oh if you have fish, a cat or even birds? not a problem, for they have thought about all that as well and added it right into this kit, right down to even a bird cage. It is truly beautiful. I do not happen to own birds, but I did a few pages using my beautiful Golden Retriever....and this beautiful kit.

Here she is from 8 weeks old until the latest photo of her. I never had such a beautiful dog....she'd be perfect is she did not shed so much. But she has stole our hearts and cleaning up after her is a minor issue for us as she gives us so much pleasure in our lives. Walking and playing with her brings us nothing but pure joy.

And here is another I created of an angel in my life as she played with my dog in the lake in my area. Her mother is like a little sister to me in more ways then one and well this happens to be her beautiful daughter who had a blast playing and swimming in the lake during the visit. I happen to create this page for the August template Challenge over at Funky Playground Designs.....and the gorgeous kit called Pet Shop for the page, of which I thought turned out awesome.

Pets...

I so love my dog, I own a Golden Retriever and I admit she is the love of my life. I have not owned a dog for over, gosh probably 20+ years, so when this dog got laid in my lap I cried like a baby missing her momma. And to this day, she is my baby....thru and thru.

I saw this kit called My Pet by Sweet Digi Scraps and knew I found the perfect kit to use for the recent photos I had taken on our recent camping outing. It was so much fun to work with and had all I needed to put my newest page together for my grandson's album I am making. Isn't it great? Look at all those colors and elements....even a dog collar name tag has been added, perfect.

It amazes me how a rural town of less then a 1,000 people can draw so many in for this event. It is always a wonderful parade, with people so very proud to be American. See my page?

Kids on the floats were throwing candy, and all decorated in the patriotic colors, people dressed for the occasion and there were clowns as well. Three of our town menfolk dressed up as ladies...it is always worth a giggle, especially when you know the silly men and all the laughs they get. Who knows why they started it.

Journaling.....

It is something everyone has troubles with, writing down their thoughts and memories on paper and adding it to the scrapbook pages they create. But it is something you should do for a legacy moment, for family to read for years and years. Take it from me, details get lost and usually the most important ones, and as time goes on, everyone involved forgets bit and pieces of the event, and well if you have it documented, viola! Have you ever went Cherry Picking? I have not myself, but I certainly love to eat them.....and well just the other day I found some in the store and had to purchase a few for my Hubby who happened to be craving them....so I bought him just alittle over a pound. Creating these pages using this kit Ocean Breeze, sure brought back a sudden rush of pleasant memories of spending the weekend with my baby girl, her son and my sister with her daughter. It was a very nice weekend to get away and reconnect with my family who I love cherish and miss so much. Thinking that we should make it an every year event....so we can reconnect with the most beautiful part of nature......listening to the waves rolling in and out, smell of the ocean.....and working with this kit reminded me of all that. Father's Day Weekend

Can you believe it is actually mid June and Father's Day weekend? And believe me, it still feels like winter around here.....and it makes me mad that I have to nightly make a routine trip outside to cover my flowers and garden.before retiring for the night. Will it ever stop freezing around here? I think I might have to replace my zuchinni plants.....if it would only get warm enough out for them to grow, but it keeps getting colder all the time, so....ok enough of that. remember I told you last post about Sweet Digi Scraps having a Birthday celebration with a Growing Up Grab Bag over at Zig Zag Scraps? Taste of Summer today.....

And the sun is even shining outside today for a change, after months of overcast and rain. It got cold last night, enough to freeze here again last night, so in-spite of DH snorting how it probably won't freeze because the weatherman said, I am glad I took two minutes to grab a sheet and cover my potted planted on my porch before going to bed last night or they would be mush looking for the day. And with that.....

Will Summer ever come?

First off, I am happy to report I have once again joined the ranks of being a Sweetie (Sweet Digi Scraps) once again. It is like going home for me. And even more then that, she has joined in the ranks of ZigZagScraps, along with her current stores, ACherryOnTop and BeenThereScrappedThat.

And this one was created using Earth Angel, also by Sweet Digi Scraps, a kit I adore. The first time I saw this kit, I was all kinds of excited as I love the colors and elements. Isn't it pretty?

I do not know what the weather is doing in your neighborhood, but it is still cold here. Even snowed a couple times over the Memorial weekend. I planted a couple tomato plants and some Zuchinni's and a Rhubarb plant. Happy to report, Rhubarb is thriving.....Zuchinni's are wrapped Still in water-wells and doing ok. tomatoes? Are still struggling, growing very slowly. My step-daughter bought me one of those huge beautiful potted hanging baskets for Mother's Day, and I bring it in every night trying to keep it from freezing. Will Summer ever come?

Bet you noticed I changed the blog again.....yeah I went back to being plain, as I got several letters asking me what the problem was because they had troubles loading my blog. So, I took off all the backgrounds and re-did my header and we shall see if it helps. The header is a picture of my husband Salmon fishing on one of the most beautiful rivers in the area. Water is crystal clear and view is spectacular. I shall change it out occasionally with newer photo's of my area so you can see how spoiled I am where I live....

I shall be back in a few days to show you what else Sweet Digi Scraps in working on.....

It is one fabulous kit.....an believe me, it is nothing short of HUGE. I can not begin to show you all the stuff these two designers a have included in this kit. Are you checking out those colors? Elements and glorious pieces added? You can't imagine how big this kit actually is.....they have so many extra added stuff for example, multiple borders, buttons, folige, frames, some fancy cut papers are added to this kit as well for extra dimension for your pages.....I mean like have you ever wanted to have your papers placed all in layers, and have that special shapes pieced out of the top paper in order to see that detailed below it for extra highlights and details? Kelly Jo has added that for you and more.... papers cut in shapes to add to your scrapping pages for special accents and elements, and all kinds of awesome elements for your pages. What's not to like about this page using more of the kit My Guy? They have added masks to this kit as well.....which I used when creating that blended photo on this background.....and those great splatters....and oh! I forgot to mention the wordart.....see that word art about boys? yep, it and several other are also included in this kit, making the boy theme seriously flow for your pages .

I used another mask added to this kit, for the blending on the background paper.....and the word tags are also included this kit, which makes putting pages together so much faster and adds so much personality. Again I love those alpha's....they are so full of character and makes a great impact on any page. What one didn't remember, the other did add. I really loved loved loved creating using this kit.....

And I also have to share what else I did using this kit......anyone who knows me, knows I am a serious hybrid scrapper/crafter. These kits I show you are not just for scrapping pages you know, of which you can use over and over, but they are also perfect for all kinds of hobbies for your everyday needs. I use them for card making, making cute little bookmarks for my grandchildren, gift boxes, book covers, and binder covers for the kids school projects to personalize them, it is endless what you can do with these kits and believe it or not......

Using this kit I also made this lamp shade......added one of those lil battery operated candles in a wine goblet and viola! I have one gorgeous lil night light for whatever room you have in the house that needs a little bit of light. With this kit, My Guy, it could be for that special boy, for his bedroom or bathroom nightlight. Make a couple, for the dinner table and have a gorgeous romantic setting for you and yours. Notice I added some itty bitty holes along the bottom? you could add some colored embroidery threads along the bottom and have a fancier shade for elegance look or add a blanket stitch would really dress it up.

Oh wow! How many of you are ready for a weekend of some serious celebrations? It's Heartfelt....

Flutter Expressions has her kit Heartfelt added to the store in Sunshine Studio Scraps with a few new changes......and I wanted to post it to show you all the kit. It is one of my favorites.....love these colors as I think they go together very well.

Aren't the elements gorgeous? simple and yet very perfectly complimenting the kit quite well.
It can be used for various things.....as the colors go with just about anything your creative juices wish to create.

Here is a page I created for my niece...hope she will like it showing off her beautiful daughter.

Got Easter Digital Photo's?

I sure didn't ....was home sick and didn't make it in time to photograph my grandkids for the Easter Egg hunt, but when we got there, we were told we never missed anything. I thought, "Says who?" Those moments are so precious and will never happen again. Everyone says we will always have next year, but in real life, I question, will we? So with that being said, I have this terrific kit called Easter Chic created by Kelly Jo's Scraps that will be perfect for those Easter Photographs I hope you took as your kids, grandkids or family members did the Easter Egg tradition.

Look at how fun this kit is? Those decorated Easter Eggs, the Bunny, several included for peeking up over any frame you have and she has even included on to add a photograph to make your Easter child a bunny..... and get aload of those absolutely fun papers.....with Easter Eggs, Bunnies, Lambs, Eggs, and solids as well. It's Back 2 Basics for me

And it will be for you too once you see this great kit Kelly Jo's Scraps has created. It is like totally delish.

Just have a peek here at Back 2 Basics and those colors....so almost shabby but not to much of anyone thing to overdo it. Browns, greens and a shade of Rose? oh yeah.....see what I made using it?

Get a gander at that paper piece top of this page? such a unique piece for all kinds of uses....and those colors? and when was the last time you saw a fastener like I have attached to the frame with all the rope? Yeah me too. Used to be all the rage way back when, and I told her so as well. Loved seeing someone add it back into a scrapping kit.

And then here is another page created using the same kit......don'tcha love the colors? I love love love that paper underneath. Thinking I might actually paint my guest bath in a similar theme, I love it so much. And those Alpha's? I love'em as well. I am a scrabble lover and it reminds me of that.....but only better bringing your titles out boldly.

Front Page and Twofers

I am back to show a page using Sweet Tomato Designs kit called Front Page and her Twofer templates.

Both very awesome to work with. Just look at these colors and all that comes with it. She thought of adding a camera and extras for those photographs that require just a little something special.

Doubling your Pleasure.....

OK first off, I see Blogger is not co-operating once again as planned. I have posted this to go online while I was away from my desk, and see today, it never even went out as planned as I checked my blog. So while I have a second to write, I am winging this with apologies to two super designers I enjoy working with. I must start out with Kelly Jo's Scraps as her new kit was out yesterday called Fantasy. It is a charming kit, seriously huge and full of all kinds of added elements to make your pages awesome. My grand-daughter when she was over last doing craft's, literally glowed and begged me to add her to the pictures when she saw this kit. So out of the bag came my camera and snapped several photo's of her and added her to these pages, printed them out and gave them to her. They are now proudly hung on her Mom's kitchen fridge, so she can brag to all who stop long enough, about her in the pictures of Fairyland.....well you look and see for yourself...

Here I added her one of Kelly's awesome pages.....placed her on the dock and added all the rest to fill out her page. This was one of her favorite scenes.

Then I placed her in this picture.....another one of her favorite pictures Kelly Jo has in her kit.

A Touch of Shabby

For the longest time, I have telling you about these kits I work with being so stunning printed off your computer. I decided to make a card for a friend using a kit called A Touch of Shabby by Kelly Jo's Scraps

and Courtney's Digi Scrappin. It turned out great. Here is the front of the card....and of course you can't see it but that butterfly was also printed out and added to the top of the one already added when I printed the card, for depth. I also took some GellyRoll pens, glitter and went around to the inside of the butterfly veins etc. to add some fancy shine. Put if carefully on a couple foam spacers to make it stand out and away. And there are a row of small beads right above the lace added to the bottom. She is so going to flip when she sees this card for she is into Shabby Chic bigtime. Wished I could see her face when she opens the card.

And here is the inside.....See that Blue flower? I added an old button out of my button box, added some paper flowers I had here and some itty bitty buttons on them and an old old button as well. took another butterfly that came with the kit, printed it out and did the same thing with GellyRoll pens to make the butterfly have some details, using gold glitter and metallic rust. Added a couple foam under the butterfly to make it stand up more..... also glued the strip to the bottom of the card on one side and left the side without flowers open, so I can tuck a letter into it. On the finished product, I wrote a poem to the inside by hand and around the clock I printed " Just once I wished time would stand still when we get together for a visit"

So, here is the proof that these gorgeous kits I work with actually do, print out beautifully for all and or any digital crafting you want to do. And best of all, they can all be used over and over and over.......I have a million ideas for this up coming Easter. And if I get time, I might just come back and show you all what I did. But for now, I would love to hear what you think of my card. Oh I must tell you, I got the idea from A Cherry on Top hybrid card called Jules in Paradise. But I have to admit, her card is more awesome then mine with extra details and layers....you should go see it. It's gorgeous. But, she did give me the inspiration....which is what it is all about, inspiring one another to create right?

Cause for Celebration

Challenge Creations

Just a few pages I created for a couple Challenges I entered. This one was done using a kit called Hugs & Kisses by Flutter Expressions

My grandson for Spring Break having the time of his life playing outside with our Golden Retriever. 12 acres to him is like a magical wonderland of fun. He always found something to do outside in all the snow.

This one is a picture I took of a Barn, just the other day, that used to stand tall in a field when I first visited this area, and now with weather and time, has fallen. This year it fell alittle more and i found myself saddened by this, remembering, how I used it as a secret road marker for years, indicating I was almost to my destination. Kit used was a freebie from DigiCrea called Moments of Happiness

Picture of my grandson and his dad, a couple years ago, I thought was precious. Was a emotional time for me seeing my baby give birth to her first child. He was so incredibly beautiful.......and so adorable today. He melts my heart in so many ways. Thinking I might need to take a road trip.... and spend some time with him real quick.Kit used was Can't Catch Me by Sunflower Studio's.

And this one, was of my grandson's little brother who loved my sunglasses and when I took them off he opted to wear them for a moment. His mother captured the moment for me. Kit used was Glorious by Connie Prince.
